So great to be on Michael Medrano's show "Pakatelas" on KFCF 88.1 FM in California! Here are notes on the showing leading up to our conversation:  Award winning poet and memoirist, Brian Turner is my guest on this weeks Pakatelas. We'll discuss the debut of his spoken word cd,"The Interplanetary Acoustic Team". In this "unique labor of love", Turner incorporates his late wife, Ilyse Kusnetz's poetry with singing, spoken verse, and musical accompaniment. Tune in Thursday August 9th from 3-3:30pm, at 88.1FM Fresno and streaming live at www.kfcf.org.

Many thanks to writer and musician Cameron Dezen Hammon for hosting this conversation about the album on her phenomenal podcast, The Ish

Poet and essayist Philip Metres was kind enough to sit down with me for a conversation about Brian Turner to talk about "11 11 (Me, Smiling)". It's a wide-ranging conversation compressed into a compact interview. A quick and moving read: Poets&Writers

The Normal School featured a roundtable conversation, moderated by writer Optimism One, with Brian Turner and composer Benjamin Boone. The conversation ranged from the poetry of Ilyse Kusnetz and Philip Levine to the giants of jazz and music as means for interplanetary exploration. Check it out here: Word Music
